The Schmus is a channel I made with my best friends Leah and Levi in 2022 that I am 1/3 of. We have been posting absurd, self referential, improvised videos ever since. We also have a podcast called The Schmuscast, which is mostly long-form improv. Uploads on this channel are much less frequent than on Toast Sandwich because scheduling is a nightmare.
In late 2021, the three of us were hanging out and playing Quiplash, and had the thought that since we all had individual channels, should make a new channel where we could upload collab videos together. we decided to call this channel The Schmus because of a running gag in our game of Quiplash where we would give answers that rhyme with "sus" since Among Us was popular. We quickly ran out of real words and when the announcer said that his name was Schmitty, one of us put down "Schmus" and it was so funny at the time that it was all we answered and we had to ban it from the game.
Even though we had the idea and name for the channel in late 2021, we wouldn't upload a video until 2022, where we released "Intro Video #1", which is bad. since then, we've made other good videos, including several improvised short films, and a full length original musical, "The Schmusical", which took two years of work and has lots of our friends in it. It is my favorite thing I've ever made and you should go watch it.
